Journey Management Group's Plant & Equipment Training course's are designed to provide students' with the confidence and skills to operate their chosen machinery safely and be issued with the appropriate certification (ticket or licence).

Courses are based on the related unit from a National Training Package (either Transport & Logistics TLI10 or Resources & Infrastructure RII09), as well as focusing on the Licencing requirements (where relevant) for the machine.

Topics covered include:

• machine and general safety

• operator terminology

• operator responsibilities

• pre-start inspection

• control functions

• start-up and shut-down procedures

• rules for safe operation; and

• operating procedures.

On successful completion of the course operators will be issued with a Journey Management Group Statement of Attainment and (where applicable) be eligible to apply for a WorkSafe "Licence to Perform High Risk Work". All qualifications are recognised nationally.
