Journey Management Group's Plant & Equipment Training course's are designed to provide students' with the confidence and skills to operate their chosen machinery safely and be issued with the appropriate certification.

Courses are based on a combination of the National Guidelines for OH&S Competency Standards (NOHSC) for the operation of load shifting and other types of equipment and the Transport & Logistics TLI07 Training Package.

Topics covered include:

  •  machine and general safety;
  •  operator terminology;
  •  operator responsibilities;
  •  pre-start inspection;

  •  control functions;
  •  start-up and shut-down procedures;
  •  rules for safe operation; and
  •  operating procedures.

On successful completion of the course operators will be issued with a Journey Management Statement of Attainment and be eligible to apply for a WorkSafe "Licence to Perform High Risk Work". All qualifications are recognised nationally.
