Before you enrol

  1. Step 1: Select a course

    • View our course options on the website and research your options using the Victorian Skills Gateway website. Drop by one of our branches or give us a call on 1300 307 286 for further information.
  2. Step 2: Applying for a course: Obtaining your Unique Student Identifier

    • Applying for a course with Journey Management Group is simple. After you have chosen the course you would like to undertake, you will need to get a few things ready to submit along with your application.
    • Obtain your Unique Student Identifier
      All students are required to obtain a Unique Student Identifer (USI) before enrolling in nationally recognised training in Australia. Apply for a USI or watch the student video which will provide you with a general overview of the USI initiative and how to create a USI.
    • Bring a printed copy of this number with you for enrolment, you won’t be able to enrol without it. If you have a USI and have forgotten it, you can you retrieve it on the Australian Government’s USI website.
    • If you need assistance with creating or locating a USI, a Journey Management Group Customer Service Officer can help when you come in to enrol at one of our branches.
  3. Step 3: Applying for a course – Check your eligibility for government funded training

    • Vocational education and training is a great way to gain a Nationally Recognised Qualification that will improve your ability to enter the workforce or enhance your career or job prospects.
    • The Victorian Training Guarantee is making training more accessible to people who do not have a post-school qualification, or who want to gain a higher level qualification than they already hold.
    • The Victorian Training Guarantee entitles eligible students to a government subsidised place through one of Victoria’s many Accredited Training Institutes or provate Registered Training Organisations.
    • Journey Management Group will assess your eligibility for a government funded place at enrolment.

  4. Step 4: How to enrol

    • To enrol into a Journey Management course you will need to drop into a branch.
    • Make sure you bring the following documents when you come to enrol:
      • Your Unique Student Identifer
      • Citizenship / Residency ID (for example, this may consist of one of the following):
        • Current Medicare Card
        • Australian Birth Certificate (full certificate, not an extract)
        • Current Australian Passport or New Zealand Passport
      • Proof of Age (for example, this may consist of one of the following):
        • Current Drivers Licence
        • Current Learner’s Permit
        • Proof of Age Card
        • ‘KeyPass’ Card
        • Australian Birth Certificate (full certificate, not an extract)
    • Please note: To be eligible for a heavy vehicle truck licence, you must hold a current and valid drivers licence.
    • You will also need to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test.

General Site Rules

  • Private vehicles are to be parked in the student car park or on the side street.
  • All students are to report to reception.
  • The supplied High Visibility Vests are to be worn at all times.
  • All safety signs are to be strictly followed (including speed limits, designated walk areas, smoking areas, PPE requirements etc.).
  • Accidents, near misses or any safety issues are to be reported.
  • Please do your part and ensure the training centre is kept clean and tidy.
  • Fighting, horseplay, practical jokes and rowdiness will not be tolerated on site.
  • In the unlikely event of an emergency personnel shall as directed by a nominated safety coordinator and proceed to emergency evacuation area.
